The University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore is a reputed Agricultural University hosting the 4^th International Congress on Insect Science at Bangalore, India.It is one of the  top five best Agricultural Universities .The Department of Entomology, UAS is credited with conducting  four International Conferences in the past  and is in the fore front of  Tropical Insect Science in the world. The Society for Advancement of Insect Science, PAU, Ludhiana has organized three  congresses for advancing the cause of insect science. The society was established in 1988 and has been regularly publishing the Journal of Insect Science. After the success of the 3^rd conference in February 2011 at PAU, Ludhiana, Punjab, it’s a great honor for the University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore to organize the 4^th one in the series with the elevated status of an international conference. In this era of modernization and technological advancement there is an increasing need to conserve and utilize the services of insects to mankind, since “No insects, No life on Earth”. The topics are wide ranging around which the deliberations of the conference will revolve. The conference provides a forum for people interested in insect science to share and exchange latest advancements in insect science, globally. Therefore, the progress and deliberations timed for the event will be of universal value and applicable to all human societies world over. The community of Entomologists of Bangalore and India alike, and people of Karnataka in particular, would like to greet the participants from across the world with a new hope and theme “Exploring the Incredible Insect World”.
